Bio: Dr. Andy Johnson is Professor of Literacy Instruction and Distinguished Faculty Scholar in the Department of Literacy and Elementary Education at Minnesota State University,Mankato. After teaching in the elementary classroom for 9 years, he received a PhD from the University of Minnesota in Literacy Instruction in 1997. He has been working in higher education for 27 years. He is the author of 15 books and over 50 academic articles and book chapters related to literacy, learning, and the human condition.
